Field Notes on Avoidance: Now Available

After years of traveling across North America with my camera and notebook, Field Notes on Avoidance is finally here. It’s a collection of more than sixty original poems and fifty photographs, each drawn from long miles on the road and the quiet moments between.
This limited edition is printed with care and intention. Each page holds traces of where I have been—the Gulf of Mexico, the Great Plains, the high deserts, the Arctic coast. The poems and photographs live together as one body of work, exploring the distance between what we see and what we choose to turn away from.
The book invites you to wander. To sit with the stillness of a photograph. To feel the ache in a line of verse. It asks nothing more than your attention, and maybe your company for a while.
Every copy is available directly from my studio.
