Grief Cycle

Mourning
Blunt, unspoken
Rain on closed windows
The wind forgets my name
Hollow

Remembrance
Bruised, exact
Mist in branches
Your voice in thawing ground
Return

Gratitude
Roots, persistent
Sun warmed ache
Stillness is your shape
Remain
